Is it possible to get a dress with less than 5 months to the wedding?

I hate the dress I bought and I don't want to wear it. It's non-returnable and alterations can't fix what I hate about it without redoing the entire dress, so I'm trying to sell it but then I realized even if I do, is it possible to get a wedding dress with less than 5 months to the wedding? What...

What are some designers whose dresses are on the modest side of budgets ($1000 and under)?

I would say DB or AA, smaller places take around 6 months usually.

I would look for boutiques in your area that may have sample sales going on that you would be able to take home that day.

You can try Davids as well but you may have to pay a rush fee.

My wedding is 10 days away and I realized I hate my wedding dress yesterday morning! I had a melt down and then called up my bestfriend and we hit the bridal shops. I was able to find my dream dress for $1030 and they are shipping me a new one which will arrive at the end of the week and then alterations will be done next week!

As long as the ladies at the shops know your timeline, you'll be fine!

I am beyond thrilled to have found my dream dress!

    Good luck!!!

It depends where you go and what you pick. My dress takes 8 months to come in. You can try Davids bridal or a smaller boutique and ask about off the rack options. Good luck!!

Also, don't rule out non-wedding dress dress shops. It's completely possible.

Indeed it is... I found my two dresses I adored them both for under 1000...you may have to look a lot but don't shy away from pre worn or non boutique places.

You're my wedding date twin, OP!

I'm going to order my dress from BHLDN.com. I think PP's have mentioned that they have several under $1000.

If it makes you feel better, I haven't ordered mine yet because I was trying to lose some weight. But, I'll be placing my order in about 2 weeks.

A friend of mine got married last year and got her dress from David's Bridal... It took two weeks for her to get her dress in. I'd say every situation is different but you might still have plenty of time.

My dress came from DB also came in 3 weeks. I think 5 months is plenty of time depending on designer. Start looking around and you'll find something.

I got my dress from Alfred Angelo after 3 1/2 months...it depends on the store, the popularity of the style, etc.

My sister's first dress got majorly messed up by her seamstress and at the last minute (2 days before) she decided to just go in and pick up a dress off the rack and had them do an emergency hem job. Totally possible, she also got it for under $1000 because it was a sample.

It is possible, however you may have limited options so keep that in mind.

I got my dress used on eBay. After losing too much weight that the sundress I bought looked like a sack. I had alterations done in 1 week and cleaning and pressing will be done on Wednesday. My wedding is on Saturday. I am darn lucky.

Check out Alfred Angelo. They have several dresses that are eligible for rush. I didn't need to order rush, but my dress still came in 2 months.
