Is it okay to put wedding website rsvp information on the invitation?

Mumsie, on September 22, 2019 at 7:15 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 8
It didn't seem etiquette-wise to put the wedding website RSVP info on the back of the wedding invitation, so are including an RSVP card in the envelope with the invitation so guests can RSVP online. Any thoughts?

I’m not sure what you mean. Do you mean providing RSVP info by giving your wedding website address as well as physical RSVP cards?

I think it's ok to list your wedding website on it and say you can RSVP there also instead or something

We put ours on the details card. I’ve heard with putting it on the back sometimes people don’t see it so I would maybe put the invitation in the envelope backwards to avoid that! Here’s what ours said.

Print an RSVP card with instructions on how to RSVP online at your website. Harder to miss. And some people have rarely gone to any party or wedding with a formal invitation. Or the ones they did, parents or a SO did the RSVP. People see a website link and think, her registry, I'll look the week before the wedding and have something sent. And do not check. They just assume that since there is no card, no reply is needed. Either you do not need to know, or you will call people, the few you do not see.

You can definitely put it on the invite but put wording like "to rsvp and fine other details. please visit...." or something like that so they know it's not just for the registry. I second the dont put it on the back of the invite though!

I think that's fine! We included RSVP cards that were stamped & addressed in our invites, but the RSVP card also said "you can RSVP online at www...." and it worked well!
