I have seen post after post about RSVPs this and that and I don't think they are really necessary for my event. We are budgeting for a certain amount of people and plan to buy for that. Even if a lot of guest don't show the food and etc won't go to waste. Before you judge me , this is just a...

We had a small amount of non responders and I didn't bother to call any of them. Just put them down as "no" and moved on. Some of the brides on WW will say you should call because maybe they didn't get the invitations but in our case, we knew they had gotten them.

Only if you plan to spend the money saved on Valium.

If you have already ordered linens and tables and chairs for 100, and cant cancel anyof them to get some money back, then there really is no point except forto know how many dinners to order. Im having mine at a restaurant, so i dont have to pay for any of the extras, and my food is per person as long as 30 show up. So, other than KNOWING who is going to be there, there really is no advantage to me getting back rsvps. Id think twice if I was inviting 100 people, though, and had to pay for 100 dinners no matter how many show up. I would be doing the dreaded B list as soon as i got a regret. And would definitely use mailed rsvps
