Is it ok to ask my grandmother to shave?

My grandmother has always had a very dark mustache and hair on her chin since I was a child and I love her no matter what. However I really want her to shave it for the wedding as it is really distracting. How is the best way to do this?

Personally, I wouldn't. I would not feel comfortable doing something like that. I would be worried of hurting her feelings or coming off as rude. There's so many more aspects of your wedding that people are going to pay attention to that no one will even notice. Don't upset her by asking. You can't ask someone to change their appearance for your wedding. There's so much more you should be worried about for your wedding than asking your grandmother to shave.

If it were me, I wouldn't say anything. Especially if your grandmother has never mentioned being self conscious about it or anything, or wanting to fix it. I'm sure it would hurt her feelings. I guess you could offer to have her get a facial & dermaplaning before your wedding so her makeup goes on better, and pay for it, so it's more of a luxurious gift (if she is into things like that and would enjoy it). But I'm assuming since she doesn't shave it, she doesn't care or notice it so mentioning altering someone's appearance for your wedding is pretty rude. I'm sure no one will notice and your photographer can edit it out of pictures if she does.

How about a day of beauty with you, your mother, and grandma a few days before the wedding. Go to a salon for mani/pedi, and waxing of eyebrows and chin/lips. If you are all doing it, she might have fun being pampered.

Hi, I do not see anything wrong with this. You want your grandmother to look her best and not want anyone to make fun or be rude to her... I agree with the 2 other ladies about making a day of it I think that would be so lovely Smiley smile I feel like it is not what you ask but how... good luck! im sorry so many people were so harsh!
