Is it odd that we are having a second engagement shoot?

Just sounds like another chance to get really good photos of you guys to put around your home

we had post-wedding pictures taken, pictures are pictures.

We're doing 2 also. The first one was a friend who wanted to try out a new lens. We got some excellent photos, but our photog offers it in the package as well so sometime late summer we will do a second e pic session.

Same here. My fiance's sister in law took some pictures of us early on for us to use at our engagement party and things like that. Now that we've booked a photographer, an e-session is in her package so we'll use them for our STDs and more pictures are always fun!!!

I took some formal ones already but it was included in our photographer's package so we could get comfortable with her (charm/engagement session).

I think of it as more great photos of us I can frame

We were planning on doing a second shoot but our pictures came out absolutely amazing so no need we have a very talented photographer.

I don't think that's odd at all. We were actually considering doing a 2nd shoot with our same photographer just to have more photos of us in different seasons (we did ours during the winter and would like some warmer-weather ones as well). If it's included in your package, definitely go for it!

and honestly, it is to give our photographer another chance because the first e-pic shoot didn't quite give us what we wanted. she caught us at awkward angles and photo-shopped my ring onto my right hand (what?).... totally and absolutely nothing wrong with it! especially if it is included - and it's a great time to get to know her as well good luck!

We did two! We did one with our actual photographer and we won a free photo session in a raffle so used that for engagements as well. We also might do one more in a month or so when the harvest fields are up and ready to cut since that's a big deal with my fiance. A friend is going to do those for me for fun. So no not strange

We are doing two. We did our first run with our photographer which went great, and there is a photographer friend of mine who wants to build his portfolio, so the second photo session is free for us.

I don't think that's odd at all. I've actually been considering doing a second shoot with the same photographer, as we would like different types of photos in our house during different seasons. With our wedding approaching pretty fast though, we might just do a second shoot after the wedding.

Pictures are pictures--take as many as you want (/can afford!)

I was actually considering doing another shoot with our photographer because before FH proposed, I cut my hair super short while my mom was going through chemo. Now I'm growing it out for the wedding and I look WAY different than I do in my engagement photos.

Girl do it!! we were suppose to do another one too...our photographer is a good friend of my FH since they were little, but time just flew by and we've both been busy. I really wish we had another one because I wanted to have a different look for the second engagement shoot than our first.

My FH and I are doing some retakes, so we will have spring & fall e-pics. Our first session was at a bad time of day so the photographer didn't get as many photos. I don't think it's weird. I'm actually kind of happy that we are doing more photos, so we will have more outfits and a different scenery.

Nope! I'd go for it! You can always use more pictures.

Do it. I never turn down pretty pictures of my husband and myself. Better than selfies. I'd gather up as many pictures as you could

We are in the SAME exact situation-how funny! we took engagement pics in May and ended up booking a different photographer for the wedding (weren't crazy with the first person). Well, the new photographer's package includes an engagement session and she'd like us to do it so she can get to know us before the big day. I think it'll be fun!

I'm still trying to schedule our session. There has been so much going on, FH and I actually forgot about getting back to the photographer about it.

We're doing two, and I hate getting my picture taken! One is included with our photographer's package, so we're doing those in Detroit. But FH wanted to take some here in Nebraska in his home town, so we're having his friend do them I was feeling weird about it so I'm glad to see so many others did two!
