Is it normal to be tired of your wedding?

Is anyone else experiencing this? I have less then 2 weeks until my wedding and I am completely over it. I am tired of people asking me questions, chasing after people, having stupid arguments, and most of all I am tired of people asking me why I don't seem excited.

Yes I am excited to marry the love of my life and yes I am excited for my honeymoon. But honestly no I am not excited for the wedding, it has been nothing but stress and I am tired of it. Anyone else feeling this way?

Haha...this totally happened to me...people kept asking me if I was excited...and I was like if I was a guest of this wedding I would be excited...it will be fun but there is a TON of work to do before the event...and I mostly could only focus on all the work and things I still needed to do. This week though (I am about 2 weeks out) I have had moments of excitement....

I totally thought I would have everything done by now and I don't...not close and I had sOOOO much of this done months ago that it seems like I should have everything done.

I have also become pretty IDGAF about things and with that comes some excitement to see all these people that I love and to just have one hell of a party with them. The rest of it will be fine. Smiley smile

I'm in the "lull" like a few others have said. I think it's mostly because I feel I have nothing left to do, besides trying to get a hold of the caterer for a tasting. I've bought almost all the decor, DIYed everything I can think of..etc. I'm totally sick of people asking me questions. I answer them politely, but do you really want to know every little detail of what our wedding is going to look like?!

Yeah I think it is normal, I'm kind of over mine as well. I am sick of stressing over the budget and the small details. I'm tired of people asking me how the wedding planning is going. I still have so far to go that I'm actually thinking about doing a home equity loan next summer and spending my summer re-doing my backyard just so I can plan and think about something besides the wedding.

Haha yeah, you're not alone. I'm 4 1/2 months out and I'm over it. Everyone's like "it's so exciting! It's going to be the best day ever!" and I'm thinking, well it's going to be amazing, and I can't wait to be his wife and be married, but I'll be glad when the wedding is over!

I'm almost 6 months out and I'm ready for it to be over with. Wedding planning is nightmare.

Keep it simple, enjoy the ride. That's what I tell everyone. Of course, no one listens to me.....

Still looking forward to it, not over it, I'm enjoying the process and why? Because this is a once in a lifetime opportunity! Also, did not pick a long engagement (8 months), so I don't really have much of a "lull" time.

I kinda feel the same. I'm over the planning. I'm still excited for the wedding and everything you mentioned like marrying my FH and the honeymoon(though that is yet to be determined). I wish I didn't have to scrutinize over every detail. Wedding planning is not as fun as I anticipated.

Definitely not as fun @Kemmie - I was really looking forward to the planning part when we first got engaged (11 months ago) but now I just don't want to deal with the drama the a wedding (or more precisely, the lead up) causes... I had a few days where I was ready to throw in the towel on a wedding and just elope, but I think I'll be glad I didn't... Bring on April 11th! Smiley smile

The worry about the details is what I'm over. I stopped at my venue for lunch yesterday and the owner was talking to me about decor ideas and my brain short-circuited, hahaha. I'm totally IDGAF: if the linen of the guest book table doesn't match the other linen, we wont be any less married. :-)

I've gotten to the point where I don't want to do anything wedding related other than finish my damn flowers. Once those are done I plan on taking a break until after the holidays to try and keep what's left of my sanity.
