Is it normal for the DJ to not attend rehearsal?

We are paying our DJ extra to play music for our ceremony. I asked him if he attends the rehearsal (obviously thinking he would require extra money for the extra time), but he says he never attends rehearsals and just goes off of visual cues. This makes me a little nervous....

My DJ will be, he makes a point to attend rehearsals as he also offers coordination services

Why would any of your vendors be at your rehearsal?? Except for wedding planner or DOC and sometimes your officiant. But whyyyyy on Earth would a DJ come to your rehearsal?

Our DJ did the ceremony and did not attend the rehearsal. The DOC that. And with the venue gave him cues from the top of the aisle.

So yeah. Wish he had because the DJ was the one terrible part of our wedding. I had to make a claim with my credit card company to get a partial credit back, we had so many issues. I hope your experience is better!!
