Is it necessary to do bridal shower favors and wedding favors?

Since some people go the untraditional route, is it rude if you don’t do favors? We are serving lots of food at the bridal shower and then a dessert bar at the wedding.

The only "favors" my fiance and I are doing at the wedding going to be pictures of us. We'll have them at the tables so everyone can just grab them.

It's 100% up to you and should be based on what you feel like you want/need!! I am not doing wedding favors. Every favor I've received from a wedding has sat in a drawer in my kitchen for a couple of years then thrown away in the end. I LOVE the idea of donating to a charity instead Smiley smile

I don't know what my MOH and BM have planned for my shower but we are doing edible favors for the wedding and putting them at each place setting so they can eat them whenever they want! or take them home with them..

We had a photobooth so the photos were the favors. We didn’t officially do a favor though. There also haven’t been favors at most bridal showers I’ve been to. They aren’t necessary.
