Is it Me or Do All Wedding Dresses Look Alike.

I know it's probably absurd to think that wedding dresses would be drastically different; however, outside of the silhouette and finishes it feels all the same. I want something different but as I browse dress after dress in search of that perfect jaw dropping two-hour white or ivory garb - I've yet to find soemthing that floors me.

What makes your dress different or stand out from all others? Is it the brand, length, accessories, beading, fabric, cost. How did you choose probably one of the most important dresses of your life?

Thanks for sharing!

I spent alot of time browsing site after site of wedding dresses. I liked this feature of one dress and that feature of another, and on and on. When I finally made an appointment at one of the local dress shops, I think I tried on about 5 or 6 dresses in all. Everyone in the room really liked the first one I tried on and it became the one we compared all of the others to. But I wasn't sure I was really "in love" with the dress. I had in my mind that I was open to several styles but I was adamant that I did not want a sleeveless dress. The girl who was working with me said, I'll be right back I have one I want to try. My MOH was in the room with me when she put it on me (the rest of my crew was in the room next door) despite it being sleeveless - I instantly teared up and got emotional when I saw myself in that dress. It was like she magically took all of the individual elements I had liked in the dresses I had seen online and combined them into one dress! (appliques, horsehair hem, sparkles - it has it all) My MOH and I looked at each other (she was also teared up for the second time) and at the same time said - This is the one!

I went back online when I got home to see if I could find the dress and I did, but ironically it was never one of the ones I had liked online because the photos did not do it justice. I would encourage you to go to a shop, and keep an open mind about styles, but tell them what has drawn you to other dresses. Trust me when I tell you, you will know when you have it on. I've had a few friends who have gone to multiple shops before finding their dress. You'll find the right one for you and it will be uniquely perfect!

That's is perfect and your daughter making it will make it the PERFECT dress. I think I need something sentimental but I'm finding more dresses that I'm starting to adore Smiley smile. Please remember to post pics.
