I’m trying to make a “must play” and “do not play” list but you don’t know how many songs you forgot about until you’re staring at 100,000 or them and you’re like “oh right I hate that song” 🤦🏼‍♀️
We’re getting the pop punk in us out of our system during our reception entrance songs so trying to find other music to play is the struggle.
We’re also struggling with some NEEDED songs, like the recessional, father daughter dance and mother son dance 😖

I banned boy bands. I'm a 90s teenager and I LOATHE every one of those songs. ... But I wanted Spice Girls.
As for the special dances - my dad and I pulled from the soundtrack of "our movie", the one we watched over and over again when I was a kid.

Every time my mom asks us what we want to dance to we both say "whomp there it is" by Tag Team, but the Progressive commercial version because he LOVES that commercial, but my moms not too thrilled with that response and thinks we're both insane lmao I think whatever song we end up choosing I'm going to surprise my dad with having the DJ cut to this song for the last couple of seconds, cause I know I'll get a laugh outta him and it definitely portrays the humorous relationship we have.

I always associate my dad with Dean Martin or Frank Sinatra cause that's all he listens to on the weekends, so I'm trying to pull from there but all their songs are a little to relationship lovey dovey to dance to with my dad. It's a true struggle lol
