Ive played around with many ideas on how to do this but im just stuck at this point. I thought about having my 2 girls walk in front and my son walk with me but i think that will be a little hectic (they are 8,6, and 4)... So then i thought maybe they walk down and then i just walk so many steps behind them, and kind of walk my self down the aisle. I dont really mind walking by myself but i just dont want to look lame lol. Any ideas on how i can do this? i brought up to to fh maybe me walking halfway and him meeting me and walking with me the rest of the way but i think he would rather stand up there and watch me walk to him like normal so i dont know

Jamie K: YOU ARE A GENIUS!!! I wanted my best guy friend in the wedding SO bad. I didn't want him as an usher (I don't understand the reason for ushers, personally), I didn't want him to stand up on FHs side because hes my friend (though theyre friends) and so I asked him as my Best Man on my side (because it was literally eating me up inside not to have him in the wedding) but the thought of having him walk me down is just GENIUS! I didn't even think about it!! Love the idea!!!

I will be walking by myself unless my mother feels comfortable enough to walk me. I will be doing what one of the other ladies on here said and tying a locket with a picture of my late dad in it to my bouquet to symbolize his walking me down the aisle.

I'm walking by myself too, my father and I are not that close and even though he will be there, I'm still walking by myself.

Thanks! I will be 60 and no one is giving me away. We decided to marry each other after much research and thought decided to go for it. My dad walked me down when I married my late husband at 21. this is a totally different ball game. Can't wait.
