Is gown supposed to drag a little with bustles?

Tina, on May 31, 2014 at 2:31 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 3

I got bustles for my gown and the back still drags on the ground a little. The gal at DB told me it's supposed to be like that, is that true?

Not an expert by any means, but I would assume it's supposed to be like YOU want it. My dress has to be free for me to dance in it ('cause we like the dancin'), so my bustle can't drag or I will be in trouble. But I'm going to specify that with my seamstress. If they meant to sew it long, maybe it's for visual effect? Or did you change shoe height - heels to flats? Dunno. I hope you get a more knowledgeable response than mine - good luck!

I'm pretty short so the salon couldn't bustle it enough to pull it completely off the ground. It may be that way if your short.

Mine still drags a little with the bustle. I like the look, seems more elegant and makes me look slimmer, and we're not having dancing anyway.
