Is Friday bad

Billy&Treniasha, on August 21, 2016 at 7:07 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 27

Our date is 7/7/17 which is a Friday. Do you think Friday's are a bad day to get married or will it be cheaper?

It might be cheaper, but a lot of venues are catching on to the trend and pricing it comparable to Saturdays. One of the issues with a Friday wedding would be the difficulty of out of town guests attending without taking a day off work. You might have a high decline rate among the OOT guests.

It may save you money but you may have more guests decline if it's on a Friday. If that's ok with you then go for it!

My wedding is a Friday also. It wasn't reasonably cheaper but the venue didn't have any Saturday's available in 2016. Personally I feel like if you tell people early enough they will be come.

Nope, my wedding day is Friday the 13th! And yes its cheaper. I would suggest to have it at night to give family and friends time to get off from work and get ready!

Some venues offer a slightly lesser rate for weddings on Fridays, but like others have said, you might have a higher rate of declines from OOT guests since it's part of the working week.

If it's important for your guest to be at your wedding they will no matter what day it is. It will definitely save you some money having it on Friday

Ditto what everyone else said - It's a money saver but you can expect more declines. This wouldn't be my preference since I really want to see a lot of the people who would have a harder time getting time off, but if most of your crowd is in town and wouldn't struggle to get the time off then go for it!

I think Friday's are a great way to save money and if it's at 6 or so then people can still work and make it if they're local

My wedding is a Friday. We got a discount for it being off-season, but not because it's a Friday. I think when we were looking at venues, I only saw one that really offered any discount for Fridays.

It is generally cheaper, and frankly? I don't see drastic declines on our Thursdays or Fridays.

It is a lot cheaper. However, I noticed Friday weddings are more common in the summer when school is off. So it sounds like it would be ideal for you. I would've loved to have a Friday or Sunday wedding but mine is in March and FH and my mom decided against it because of how it clashes with people's schedules.

Hey Date Twin!!!...it's not a significant difference in cost compared to a Saturday wedding but in some cases it's cute on the pockets lol. I loved the date so that's why I chose it.

Personally I like a Friday than a Saturday. Maybe because mines is on a Friday Smiley smile. I didn't have any declines as I sent out save the dates in December so everyone could have more than ample time to plan.

Were getting married on a Friday night and a lot of venues I researched were less $$ for a Friday night. The venue we fell in love with and chose gives 10% off food and beverages on Fridays!
