Is anyone using or have used Myregistry.com?

Nicoletta, on July 21, 2014 at 12:10 PM Posted in Planning 0 9

I was just wondering if anyone is your using or have used this service? Have your guests found it to be easy to use or confusing? I have found I want so many things from so many different stores I thought it would be good to have it all in one place, esp. for places like Anthropologie that don't have traditional registries. What do you think?

I am using it. It took me a while to get the hang of it but FH wants to register at Lowe's and that was the best way to incorporate that. I haven't heard complaints yet but I haven't had a shower yet.

I am using it, and it is super easy to use. You can register at any store and sync that registry to it, or register straight through the site.

So far there have been things purchased, so it must work just fine from the guests' end.

I was wondering the same thing. I decided not to do it because there is a list a mile long in the user agreement, including that I agress to DEFEND myregistry.com for any complaints from the stores, AND that myregistry.com has the right to REDIRECT guests anywhere they want to for the same item that we listed from, say, macy's, WITHOUT OUR KNOWLEDGE.

It seems like a VERY sketchy thing to do, in my opinion.

I am having the same problem of wanting a few things from many stores!

I started an account on it. but i haven't done much with our registry(ies) yet. it seems convenient, especially since we planned on having multiple registries. idk. we'll see.

I am using myregistry and it has been pretty cool to be able to put everything together, since I wanted different stuff from all over. I synced my Anthropologie wish list that I had from before I was engaged and then added a bunch of other stuff too. They have a thing that allows them to help my guests get better prices, which is great since I don’t have time to go back and forth to find these specials. I was surprised the first time I saw it, so I called their customer service. They said I can shut it off if I want to very easily, but actually I like that my guests are getting better deals, so I kept it on. About half of my registry is purchased already, so I think it is going pretty well.

I am using myregistry.com it's the easiest way to have all of your registries in one place.

In regards to what Julie mentioned about it redirecting people to other sites without your knowledge - you have an option to check if you want them website to recommend a cheaper store that has the same item (that's what that line is referring to). I def checked that box bc some stores have the same item, but for cheaper (same brand, make and model).

I haven't had any issues with it. I couldn't imagine giving people 5 different registries to look at items from. I also like that you're able to view what other people are adding to their wedding registry. This has been helpful.

I purchased an item off of my own registry just to make sure it worked properly and wouldn't give guest any trouble and it worked out fine. No one complained about it when they purchased gifts. Only thing is from your cellphone, you can see what store the items are from, but to me that's minor.

I recommend it if you have more than 2 registries. You can even link your bed, bath & beyond registry and include items from your target and amazon registry (ie: u update the target registry it would automatically update on myregistry). And when guest go to buy the item, it takes them directly to that store site.

Do not even create an account with myregistry.com. This company is completely incompetent. We were test driving several registry sites and we couldn't "hide" our sample registry. Once you put something on there, it's active. Every other site we looked at used common sense and allowed you to hide the registry until you were ready. Not this one. We asked them over and over to delete everything. We also asked them to stop spamming us relentlessly. While they finally unsubscribed us, they never took down the remaining item the setup wouldn't allow us to delete. We had a guest not see where we were registered and searched here on a whim and found it and used it. Very inconvenient. Again, I cannot stress enough, DON'T EVEN CREATE AN ACCOUNT. IT'S A TRAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
