Is anyone not having cocktail hour?

I honestly don't see the point of it. We will be having a signature drink and champaigne. But since our wedding is casual plus the wedding and reception are in the same location, It just seems a little unneccessary. Is anyone else not having a cocktail hour?

We didn't have one. The photographer took pictures of all our guests, so we and they arrived at the reception at the same time. And by that time, it was about 2:00 PM, so we didn't really want to delay lunch any more.

No cocktail hour here. Everything is at the same venue. We are doing pictures beforehand so hoping to go from ceremony to dinner VERY quickly....

We are not having one eiether, the 45 min. between the wedding and reception will be for our guesst to go back to their rooms to change into their comfy shoes, freshen up and start wandering over to the reception while we take photos
