Is Anyone Going To Use An Aisle Runner?

I purchased a nice, $20 aisle runner from Walmart. I thought it would be pretty... with rose petals to match my wedding colors. However, after reading many reviews on aisle runners and still being confused as to "who should place the runner, when to place the runner, and who should be allowed to walk on the runner," I decided to return it to the store! I also heard that they can wrinkle and cause you to trip down the aisle, if not secured properly. What are your thoughts on aisle runners?

I don't think we will be doing one. just one more expense that there is no point in spending the $ on.

I am definitely using one. My wedding is outdoors and I refuse to let my dress drag on the concrete.

We skipped it. The chairs in the synagogue were blue, and there was a blue patterned carpeting on the floor. It all coordinated already, and we couldn't see the point to covering up the carpet.

We used one and later cut it out and framed it. Made a nice keepsake. Nobody tripped.

I used one but it was a whole ordeal with my family on how it should be rolled out, when, and who should walk on it. my mom and aunt were determined that the grooms men or someone had to roll it out before I walked down the aisle and that no one is suppose to walk on it but me. however I didn't think it mattered and I had the runner down for everyone to walk on. it was down when we decorated the church the day before and I'm sure the guests walked on it, but the church was all wood and I think it added to the church and i wanted the guests to see the "whole" picture when the walked in. we tacked it down and no one tripped. I thought it was a great addition to the church
