Is anyone else's bank account suffering? 😅

So far I've put in $5000 but I owe another $5000.. there's no money left in my bank account to spare. The wedding is next month on the 25th. Anyone else struggling with finances??

Yes! I just got the deposit receipt and “estimated total” for our venue and the cost of the venue alone is what i wanted to keep our entire wedding budget at 😳 Thankfully we have a year but I’m having like buyers remorse 😂

No, ma’am. I’m super frugal. It is a challenge for me not giving into temptation to buy stuff after watching SAY YES TO THE DRESS or reading The Knot magazine! On the flip side, sometimes it’s been easy with saving money because I’m not a fancy gal and I don’t like being the center of attention.

Yes! We’re set for July. Putting deposits little by little for certain things. I would like to just pay off each vendor early but I feel worried paying for a whole service up front without anything to show for it except a contract.

In the beginning when we started planning both of our account were suffering because he wasn't saving, so I had to continuously pay the deposits. I kept telling FH that we had to save and I LOVE numbers, so I figured out how much everything would come to and told him he needs to put XX amount away each pay check. When it came around to paying a vendor, I asked him for his half and he didn't have it. We had a VERY long talk about how we both agreed on a wedding ceremony and not eloping. We opened a joint savings account and he started reminding me to add my bi-monthly contribution to the account. Now, everything is going great and we will continue to do this and save up for our house down payment.

My account was once $30k and is now down to about $5-6k. It’s so sad. I get married tomorrow and I still have to give tips BUT mostly everything is luckily paid for

Well.... yes. I've spent 10K with another 20K to go and I feel like vomiting. I even took the leap and hired a wedding planner so I wouldn't need to keep looking at it. I know the budget I set is ok, but I feel like it's just a LOT to spend on one day... I'm trying to think of it as a kick-ass party for the people I love - that seems to help. It's also in Tahoe, so that has a lot to do with the high cost...

Yea, I think it's a pretty kick ass party. We can recover from this. It'll all be okay 😊

I bet yours will be amazing though!!! One of my favorite people told me that the best marriages come from the weddings where all hell breaks loose - you see the truth early lol. Fingers crossed.

    Oh yeah.
    Bought a house.
Grandma who usually funded a lot of things in my life unexpectedly had to be put in a nursing home.New radiator for my vehicle.Had new house issues.Got HVAC checked out.Called a plumber.Dog had to have emergency surgery.Hoping my parents surprise me and tell me they have had some stuffed back for my wedding... but I don't think that's gonna happen. We have a 0% interest card for 15 months. Just trying to make sure we get everything paid for. Take a few months to pay it back.We had a year long engagement and kept our budget small, but we couldn't plan for all these other occurrences.

I feel you! We had to take out a loan (major no no for most people, I know) or else we weren’t going to be able to make it happen. We are Disney Cast Members and unfortunately the mouse doesn’t like to deliver hefty paychecks; we are comfortable for our day to day lives, but were not able to spare nearly enough extra money to make our wedding happen. We went with our credit union and got a really low interest rate, and a monthly loan payment is totally worth the peace of mind that we will still be able to have our wedding when we want and our vendors are paid off. It will only take a few years to pay off the loan so we are happy with our choice.

Yes! I am struggling with trying to figure out how to make my perfect wedding. I think I may. E going overboard some but since I’m starting a little early, I am getting a second job. I am trying not to get too stressed out but I understand, there’s a lot of payments to make before my wedding day. I am so sorry you’re going through this, but you can also ask your family members to help ‘sponsor’ your wedding (any little bit helps). Also doing stuff like Uber may help although it sounds like your wedding is closing in. If I come across anything more helpful I will let you know. Best of luck!

We still owe 💰 on our DJ, Photographer and Wedding planner. My dress and atlerations.

We still have yet put money towards a florist, catering and officaint.
Haven't gotten his tux/suit nor went and looked at any..
Will still need to get our kids attire too.
Our budget is so up and down because our parent's keep telling us they're going to help but only one does and the other says they r but still haven't...
So 🤷 let me pour another glass of 🍷 and sit here and 😭 over how much money I need but don't have at the moment🤦
