Is anyone else having a hard time to get people to RSVP?

This is exactly why i refuse to spend alot of money on invitations. Everyone keeps telling me that it's a waste of money because no one ever responds. My FSIL only got about four of hers back. So she still ended up calling around to see who all was coming to her wedding.

You maid of Honor should be calling these people and confirming if they will be there. Also passing a message along that if she does not receive a call back by EOD, then they will not be included in the final guest list. (Not invited) It's cruel, but sometimes you have to be hard on people to get them to respond.

I believe im going to have the same problem. We have already decided if they don't respond, they won't get in. We will have people at the reception entrance checking people in.

That is what I am planning to do. After some of my notice I had recieved about 7 more, but still is missing about 59. So Saturday is coming soon, and if people do not come O Well.

At first I said screw calling people they don't deserve my time if they can't even return their RSVP (which takes all of 3 seconds). But then I thought about it and decided people will be getting either one call or one email that gives them a final deadline to RSVP or they can't come (like detailedplanner).. this eliminates more of the chance that people will show up anyways and they can't say they never got the invite (but assumed they were invited so came anyways).
