Is a rehearsal fiesta tacky?

Amanda, on June 4, 2017 at 3:23 AM

I'm planning on doing a fiesta themed rehearsal dinner. Bright colors, fajita bar, margaritas, ect. Is this tacky? Or culturally inappropriate? I've seen a lot of cute ideas on pinterest. It's not going to be super clique with sombreros. Just bright colors and food. Kinda low key! Opinions

Sounds great! We are having our RD at a Mexican restaurant too. Are you doing it at a rented hall or something? Just curious about why you need the decorations.

As long as you're not dressing up in giant mustaches and sombreros you're fine! You're allowed to enjoy the food and culture without being disrespectful. Appreciate your concern though Smiley smile many ppl lack that.

I like the idea but maybe add a beer for those not wanting a margarita.

Sounds like a lot of fun, to me. My daughters MIL hosted the RD at a Mexican Restaurant (overlooking the Columbia River) with a Fajita Buffet. Festive.

Fiesta doesn't necessarily mean Mexican. Serving Spanish food is great. Many people will love it. Same would be if you did Chinese food. Have fun with it.

That sounds soooo fun! This is your rehearsal and more than likely, the least stressful part of your wedding planning. Have a great time and drink a couple margaritas. This sounds like a good time!
