Hello, Im getting married this Saturday November 17th and live in New England. I was hoping the weather would be warmer but the temperature says 38 degree for a high on the day of the wedding. As a fellow New Englander (northern Maine, here!) while 38 degrees wouldn't necessarily bother me being outside for a little while, if you have people travelling in or people who don't like the cold it may bother them. If it were me, I'd probably be trying to either come up with a plan B or source some outdoor heaters to help try and keep your guests warm.

I didn’t notify my guess about it being outside and I don’t think the venue would offer heating lamps either. I love the hot chocolate idea. I wish I would of thought of that earlier. But thanks for all the advise. Most likely I’ll have it indoors.

Yeah nah. 48F is too cold for an outdoor ceremony, too. 58 is getting more acceptable but still a bit on the chilly side. I would figure out an indoor alternative, but I understand that may not be possible at this point in the planning.

Hey fellow New Englander. Yes, that's too cold. I love getting outside and hike/snowshoe all winter long. That said, I'm out and moving and wearing proper clothing. Just sitting in 38 degree weather with my wedding clothes would be miserable. Even this last weekend, while beautiful sun, was windy and cold . Don't do that to your guests. All they'll remember from your ceremony is how freezing they were.

I'm glad you have a backup! Are you still able to set everything up how you planned or will you have to change things?

The hot drink station is a great idea! Cider, chocolate, and/or tea!
