Is 14 too old to be a ring bearer?

Our wedding will be a week before my youngest brother turns 14. My other brother and sister will both be in the bridal party, and I'm closest with my youngest brother, so I want him to have an important role in the ceremony, beyond usher or reading. Is 14 too old for him to carry the rings?

Wedding I was in over the weekend had an older ring bearer and it wasn't a big deal at all.

My 13 year old nephew is going to be Like an usher and remind guests about the guest book and help them find their escort cards

You could tell him he's Ring Security, that sounds more grown up and important than ring bearer.

We are having my FH son carry the rings. He'll be 14 and he seems fine with it.

FH's nephew will be 13 at our wedding and he is a ring bearer. We didn't want to make him a groomsman because he isn't old enough to be involved in anything adult. This way he's a part of the ceremony but not really obligated or expected to do anything. He seems fine with it. Honestly, the ceremony is over so quick and then he's free to be wild lol
