iPad Photo Booth?

Wendy, on January 29, 2014 at 11:51 AM Posted in Planning 0 9

Does anyone have experience with using their iPad to set up a photo booth? I see that there are many apps out there (Wedding Booth, Insta Booth, etc.). If so, how did you mount it, did someone run it, what worked, what didn't? Thanks.

Reenski did one using a laptop. She blogged the tutorial: http://rkisdead.wordpress.com/2013/01/10/diy-photo-booth/

I wonder if a music stand would work for the ipad. You may also be able to use a camera tripod with some sort of clamp. . . .

As an alternative to the ipad: If you have a photographer, you could ask him to set up a spare camera on a tripod with a remote control. Another option would be to rent one. As of right now, we're planning to have a family member make our backdrop (A wall with cut out vintage frames in it) and doing something similar. We have a professional grade camera we don't use that can be set up, but I also have someone who has offered to be an extra assistant to my photographer for free for the experience. I'm going to discuss the option of her setting up a photo booth when she's not shadowing him.

This is like the ones I've seen: http://amzn.com/B007EICZTU

Just make sure you have a list of clear instructions for guests to use themselves if you're not having someone man the station. I'm using my Photobooth program on my mac and just setting it up on a table with a list of steps to follow.

Search pinterest for "DIY Photobooth." I got a ton of tips from there.
