Inviting more than expected?

Is it good to invite more people than you expected? Because I know some won’t show up or won’t RSVP. Just to be safe. For example, I’ve told my venue 120 but I may invite 130-135. Is that good? What are your thoughts?

Always be prepared for everyone to show. Don't invite random people just to fill seats. Venues have max capacity for fire safety reasons.

I agree and never EVER underestimate who will get a on a plane to fly there, Amtrak, drive a great deal, etc. You need to have a seat and a meal for everyone you have invited. Better to take wash on no shows than have people standing with no food, and like someone else said, they can't come in due to fire codes.
