I have a few girlfriends that are living with their fiances/boyfriends. I've always heard on addressing invitations you address the male first but I feel weird addressing invitations to the male when it is the female that I have a close friendship with...some of the guys I haven't even met yet (out of town friends, when we get together we usually don't bring the guys). Did any one else have similar circumstances? How did you handle? I feel like it's more appropriate to address: "Miss (female) and Mister (male)" but I know etiquette says male comes first...please let me know, thanks!

I am different I guess.. I really don't see what the big fuss is... people tend to make a mountain out of a mole hill about little bitty stuff such as this.. I on the other hand don't care how an invitation is addressed to me.. My dog's name could be put on their first and as long as the invitation was received and I was invited, I am good with that.. it's the thoughts that count anyways.. the receiver of the invite should be grateful enough that the sender was thinking of them and thoughtful enough to include them in their special day!!! that's just my opinion.
