Inviting future cousin-in-laws to shower?

Katie, on July 15, 2016 at 9:54 AM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 4

My MOH asked for my bridal shower guest list yesterday. I called my mom and asked if I should invite my two cousin's fiances. She said absolutely. I've only met each one once but I have them as friends on facebook. She said it would be rude not to invite them since they will be family. I don't want to exclude them but I also barely know them so I have no idea if they would be offended if they were/weren't invited.

Thoughts?

I've seen around WW that you are supposed to invite the fiancée, regardless of how close you guys are. Only because they will be family (it's not like they only have been dating a month- they are getting married).

Also, if you expect your fiancé to be invited to your cousin's party, then you should invite theirs.

I would invite them, they will be your family soon and this could be the icebreaker to a great relationship.

Sorry I should have clarified. These ladies are definitely invited to the wedding just wasn't sure about shower etiquette. I will invite them.

    Thank you!
