Invites went out and we got our first Rsvp!

Just wanted to share the excitement! We sent out our invitations a few days ago and just received our first few sets of RSVPs! We were super nervous when the invites were mailed as the post office worker said there was no more hand-cancelling available even when we offered to do it ourselves. Our invites were a bit stiff (according to them, even though we only used double thick paper so nothing super outrageous) and we were told it might not be able to pass through the machine and may come back to us and we'd have to send it as a package which would cost more than $3/invite! We sent it anyways with fingers crossed and yay!!! We're so excited that at least some people are getting theirs!

That's awesome!
I sent out most of our invites on Tuesday from work here in Alaska and the RVSPs will arrive to FH in NY. I'm nervous but excitedly waiting to hear from him who the first person will be to reply as we have them going to a lot of different areas. There was a little hiccup with the Save the dates though so I won't actually receive them til tomorrow (fingers crossed). But so far so good

That is awesome. I was able to do the hand stamp when I took the invites into the post office - but I don't know if that was something that was unique to my location (it might be). I had to do them myself, but they gave me the stamper & a tray.

It's so fun when the RSVPs start coming in!
That's weird they said they couldn't be hand cancelled. When I went to the post office to drop off the invitations when I mentioned they were wedding invitations the employee hand cancelled them herself (and said congratulations!).

Yes, I thought it was weird too that there was no more hand cancelling, esp when we offered to do it ourselves. But we were told this by the manager so we figured he knew more than us and didn't argue. They did say congratulations though =)

Yay! We're starting to get RSVPs back too. My FH and I fight over who gets to check the mailbox lol.
