Invites- is my RSVP date too late?? Plus, when to send invites

I just finished labeling and addressing all my invites....took most of the day but I'm so glad it's done! Wedding is June 27, and the RSVP date is June 5. Is that too late?? I've heard the average is 3-4 weeks before wedding, but one of my friends just told me that June 5 was kind of late! Eek. Well...

I just finished labeling and addressing all my invites....took most of the day but I'm so glad it's done! Wedding is June 27, and the RSVP date is June 5. Is that too late?? I've heard the average is 3-4 weeks before wedding, but one of my friends just told me that June 5 was kind of late! Eek. Well after all this work I'm not changing them, so when should I send invites?? I'm thinking last week of April...

    We had a deadline that was between two and three weeks prior to the wedding. Looking back on that, I did wish that I had given myself more time. We didn't actually **need** the time (our venue final count was due three days prior and we didn't have any issues with non-responders) but it would have been helpful for peace of mind.

    You'll be crazy-busy beginning about a month before the wedding...so if you can increase the time, do it.
