So, I always said I didn’t care about the invites. That I’d do an online one. And now, I’m thinking so much about which invites to get. Thankfully, though I love letterpress and other fancy stationery, I managed to definitely rule that out! I narrowed it down for the most part to 2–one from Vistaprint (the one with bride name plus groom name) and one from Minted (says Alana+Nathan). I’m debating cost mainly. Getting 20 invites with reception cards from Vistaprint would be $28. Getting 25 invites only from Minted with address labeling and printed back would be $150. Anyone have strong feelings? Is the extra worth it? We are having a small beach wedding and somewhat relaxed reception at a resort. Thanks for the opinions!

It definitely depends on the style you're going for. I like Vistaprint, but the quality is better at Minted. They just look and feel "fancier" - hence the price difference. If you're going for a more casual affair, then go with Vistaprint. If you really don't care that much, then just go the cheaper route. Your invitation DOES set the tone for your event, but it's not a huge deal (at least to me personally) if you go with cheaper invitations. The only time I'd really tell someone to absolutely go with the finest quality invitation would be for a black tie wedding.

FH and I ended up getting invitations from Wedding Paper Divas (now the Shutterfly Wedding Shop), which I think are on par with Minted. We definitely spent a lot more than I generally would've liked (probably around $600 for 110 invitations, detail cards, RSVP cards, and STDs), but they turned out SO beautiful and we've received so many compliments on them. I also plan on framing one of the invitations for my house, so I'm glad I went with something really pretty and high quality. But that's just me.

I actually think i prefer the vistaprint one here.
ALSO with the cost consideration, since they’re SO similar, I personally wouldn’t feel the difference is worth it

...except maybe for the address printing part !

How much was the discount code? And how much was the sample kit? They have a 10 or 15% at the top of their website. I wasn't planning to order a sample kit from them but I will if they send a better code.
