Invitations

Hi friends does anyone know what the average price of invitation/save the dates costs are!? I really want letterpress but am finding them to be so expensive. Does anyone recommend a really cute place that does them but won’t break the budget. Just got a quote and it was almost 2000 dollars just for the invites Smiley sad(

I just ordered 90 Save The Dates from Shutterfly for $135 shipped. They are super cute but super simple. I just loved the selection they had. They also had a 50% off everything sale, but I think it ended on 9/22 Smiley sad

I haven't picked out mine but I chose these sites due to great prices. Right now my #1 choice is Zazzle and it's about $250. Waiting until my date is closer to actually decide.

Zazzle.com (they have sales of 40% off every few weeks & bulk discount)

    minted.com

    vistaprint.com

    basicinvite.com

I don’t think letterpress invitations exist for cheap because it’s a labor intensive process to make them. We got engraved invitations and they were very expensive. If you’re on a budget I would look for screenprint invitations on sites like minted or zazzle.

Same here!! Just ordered 100 save the dates from Shutterfly, envelopes coming pre addressed in gold foil, 50% off and free shipping. Paid $145! They seem to have 50% deals almost every day though so keep checking back. It was by far the cheapest we found of high quality.
They also give you the ability to add your addresses in so they can come to you printed. It looks so much nicer then handwritten and saves a ton of time! I hand wrote my brothers invitations 2 years ago and it was exhausting.

40 save the dates from Shutterfly is looking to be about $50 before shipping (They usually have free shipping over $49 anyways, along with other sales all the time). The invites I'm considering would probably be around $100!

I did email save the dates, then paid for a nice invitation set from Minted. They have 20% off codes for first time buyers. I paid $240 for 60 because I added a lot of the extras

I think the average price for a very basic letterpress invitation is $10 each. I would use that as a good price point comp when you get quotes.

I ordered free samples from many companies and most of them sent really good coupon codes along with the samples. One of them even offered free save the dates!

Here is the BEST and cheapest way I figured out, just because there was no way I could have afforded so many save the dates and invitations otherwise. Honestly, I paid $20 for a Groupon for 100 custom 5x7 cards from collage.com (I bought 2 because I needed 200). So I paid $40 for that. I then went on all of the invitation websites such as minted and shutterfly. I found the design I liked, previewed it with the correct names and information, and then took a screenshot. I saved the screenshot as a photo and uploaded it onto collage.com and made it the primary photo so it took up the entire 5x7 card (you can do this for the matching back design as well). Then I only had to pay $13 for shipping per order, so $26 for shipping. That's $66 total for 200 save the dates and envelopes! I did the exact same thing with my invitations as well! Currently waiting on my invitations to arrive but my save the dates turned out perfectly, and I did the same thing with them!
