Invitations

It depends on where you order from. You should be able to find turnaround times on any website. If you order from somewhere like Vistaprint you can get them in a week or so.

If you just get screenprinted invites you should have them in a week or so. Mine took a month because they were engraved. So it depends.

Between picking out invites, placing order, approving proofs, and receiving invites it was about a 2.5 week process for us. Then sending them out to the calligrapher took another 2 weeks. For September wedding, you should start that relatively soon.

Wedding invitations are typically sent out six to eight week before the big day.

You would need to take into consideration the lead time of your vendor (whether getting them made, or making them yourselves) when deciding when to start the process of ordering.

Have you a vendor you will be working with on these? Or do you plan on creating them yourselves?

I went ahead and got mine on Monday from Ann's Bridal Bargains because they're having a super great sale (that ends today). We're not getting married until next February but couldn't pass up on the sale. They're being delivered today! We won't be sending them out until the first weekend of January, though. I would highly recommend this company! Super pretty invitations with a quick turnaround.

We ordered ours early, I wanted them to be ready & put together earlier so I wasn't stressed sending them out. I ordered them probably 6 months out, they took about 2 weeks to arrive from Zazzle.
