Invitations with detachable RSVPs:

E.V., on May 4, 2017 at 5:54 AM Posted in Planning 0 31

Has anyone used the elongated wedding invitations with detachable RSVP cards? I am interested in them mainly because they use less paper (no envelope required unless mailing internationally) but I haven't seen them in person, or heard of anyone using them. I can't decide if using them is a quality idea or not.

Here is an example:

Yup! We used them and it was great. We got our invitations from exclusivelyweddings but same idea. My friend used them and actually gave me the idea.

I liked them but it didn't fit the "style" I was going for. You can order free samples from WPD! There's promo codes out there for them

It has a more casual feel, but if that fits your wedding, go for it!

Just know that there are little perforation "teeth" (if that makes sense) left behind on the bottom of the invitation after tearing the RSVP off. I ordered a sample but didn't like those little remnants.

We did and loved them. We used forever stamps for invites and postcard stamps for RSVP. Eta: terrible picture. What looks like brown lettering is gold foil

I love these and plan to use them when the time comes. I've only looked at the ones on WPD, so thanks for the additional options, ladies and gents!

This is what I bought. Very convenient for our small wedding. I do plan on putting OOT invites in an envelope though so I can enclose hotel options

Thanks for the input, everyone. I only discovered them after seeing them on WPD, but I hope they catch on. I hadn't thought about the perforations potentially being an issue, but I don't think they would bother me. I also don't have any OOT guests so I won't have to worry about that either.

Since no one had any horror stories with them, I'm definitely leaning toward them. I I haven't found many designs that will suit my wedding style yet, but am going to keep looking.

Also,I would have replied sooner but I work night shift and sleep during the day. Sorry if you thought I ghosted you!

@Jamie Boarding pass invites are way too cool!

@A&L Your invites are gorgeous! Thanks for sharing them. I'm happy to see that someone has used the type of invites I'm talking about.

Very cute! We decided to go digital for our rsvps. Our invites include our wedding website for rsvps, accommodations, registry info, etc.
