Hi All,

I am at the point where I need to start getting serious about ordering/sending out my invitations. I never did a save the date because I only booked my venue a month ago and my wedding is creeping up on me! I also never wanted to spend so much money on invitations and I was even thinking of doing them online but I'm not sure if that's a really cheap idea?

I have about 150-175 guests and I don't really like the look of invitations. I think they look like average and I'd want to do something fun and different without breaking the bank.

Has anyone found a great place to do and order invitations? Have any of you done something different from the typical paper invitation?

Thanks Smiley smile

Vista print! Just got my save the dates from there. Quick delivery and they are amazing. I plan on getting my invites from there too. I got 35% off too. Just look online for codes.

One thing I would suggest to keep costs down is to just use a single invite card rather than invitation + RSVP card + RSVP envelope + directions card, etc. We used Minted and loved it. We only had a single card and did online RSVPs. Also, if you use any of the big online printers (Minted, Vistaprint, Zazzle, Wedding Paper Divas, etc.) keep a lookout for discount codes.

I purchased my invites and STD through etsy. It was $48 total for rsvp, invitation, STD and detail card. You can print them at Fedex and also use 30% off coupon. I think for 50 sets, I am paying way less than $100 for the printing job

I got my invitations from Minted. They are a little pricey BUT they include free guest addressing on the envelopes, which saves you any money you may have spent on supplies for the addressing, and most importantly saves time!

We're going through Vista Print! If you're handy with photoshop (or if a friend is) you can upload your own design and choose sizing/paper options through them.

My roommate is a graphic designer, and she is designing our invitations, and then we'll order them through Vista Print. They also have regular sales/coupons, so I plan to get our invites for under $150.

As previous posters have stated, if you can design your own (or purchase a design from Etsy) and use Vistaprint, you can get a great deal. I ordered 150 invites and 150 RSVP cards with the upgraded paper for $130.

Carlson Craft has a lot of design options to choose from at a variety of price points. You can browse by color, card type, price, etc. to narrow down the options. You can locate a dealer near you and/or shop online at

    Many dealers offer discounts.
