Okay I am sure this is a very popular question....our wedding is going to be an adult event, with no children. I am needing to know how to appropriately advised guest that there is no children at this wedding. Etiquette's advise do not write "no children" on your invites and I do agree kinda tacky....

Okay I am sure this is a very popular question....our wedding is going to be an adult event, with no children.

I am needing to know how to appropriately advised guest that there is no children at this wedding. Etiquette's advise do not write "no children" on your invites and I do agree kinda tacky. However, I need to let guest know in a more professional way and not hurt anyone's feeling that their children are not invited to this event. Its very important because it appears guest do whatever they like and at times will still bring children..this will not be the case here.

The Reception venue has a very nice pond and this reception will be held in the evening where there will be a cocktail hour and open bar throughout the evening...I do not believe in children being in that type of atmosphere. PLEASE Advise Thank you all!!

Rachelle

Any advise?

@Piecesofadream No I have no time to make the contact...however, I will make the time to call If children names come back on RSVP is what I am saying. No extra work if I dont need to.

@ grumbledore- I don't believe my guest will be that rude however, you cant rule it out because it happens. You have out of town guest traveling in summer months-...school is out. It will be included someway on invite from the start.
