Invitation wording

Amy, on June 1, 2019 at 7:57 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 6
Looking for advice. My fiancé and I are paying for most of the wedding ourselves but our parents are each pitching in about $1,000 each (which we are SO greatful for!). Do I still list “together with their families” on the invite or leave that out and just list my name than FH?

I think it is a nice gesture to include “together with their families” as they did pitch in for a part of it. We are footing the bill for most of our wedding as well but still placed that verbiage on the invitations to show our parents appreciation.

I'm in the same boat. My parents are divorced and remarried, both of them are giving us money and his parents are giving us money too. It's so hard! let me know what you come up with!

Both our families contributed to the cost of the wedding. We did Together with their families on our invites. I think it's a nice gesture to recognize that the families helped out.

My FILs are paying for the RD and my parents gave us a monetary gift that pays for about 30% of the wedding. We didn't list any parents or "together with their families" on the invitations. It wasn't necessarily intentional. The invitations I liked didn't use that wording and I didn't want to change it. I don't really feel bad because almost 20% of our guest list are their friends.

We did "together with their families" on ours. The cost was split pretty evenly between us and each set of parents.

Hi Amy! Have you decided what wording to use on your invitations yet?
