Invitation wording if reception is in the hotel

Private User, on February 14, 2016 at 5:40 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 5

Our wedding reception is in the hotel where I have a room block set up. I'm not exactly sure how to word that on my "Accommodation" card in my invitation. The "Reception" card has the name and address of the hotel so I was thinking I could say the block of rooms has been reserved at our reception location. Or I was thinking we could just put the name of the hotel.

Which do you think sounds better?

You are right to have a separate accomodation and reception card. On the accomodation card, state the hotel name - even though it is the same as the reception location. Have you thought about having another hotel block to provide choices? It's a good idea to have a higher price point and lower price point option.

Option 1 with the hotel name, I attached mine for you to see just for reference.

I didn't do a separate accommodation card. Just directed more info on the website. I also only did one room block because my rate is awesome for my area.

I got married at a hotel as well and they provided accommodation cards, have you checked that avenue?

Thank you all for your input.

I think I'll go with the first one. The hotel discount is fairly comparable to other hotels in the area so I'm not going to worry about getting another block. The hotel does provide accommodation cards but I don't want to use their since they won't match the rest of my invitations Smiley smile
