I want to let my guests know that they don't have to wear formal attire or heels, since we will be outside on grass in August on a potentially hot day, but I don't want guests showing up in jeans or shorts either. Having an outdoor BBQ type wedding. I want to let my guests know that they don't have to wear formal attire or heels, since we will be outside on grass in August on a potentially hot day, but I don't want guests showing up in jeans or shorts either. How should I word this in my invitations? "Casual dress attire?" "Backyard BBQ reception?" Any suggestions are welcome!! Thank you!!

    I would hate to be a guest at your wedding! A clear dress code can alleviate anxiety around what to wear and prevents an awkward situation of someone being over/under-dressed.
