Invitation Advice Chicken or Beef

RhnCasi419, on April 16, 2015 at 3:23 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 10

Ok, so I realize this question may have been asked about A THOUSAND TIMES right? In my defense I did quickly do a search on this but wasn't coming up with anything immediate and my ADD got the best of me. We are having a chicken dish and a filet mignon dish. How and where do I put this on the invitation/does it go on the RSVP card? I am in the invitation phase of planning. Oh yay. Wedding planning has become so dull after 1 year of planning. I just can't wait for the day and the honeymoon at this point almost 6 months to the day and counting it down now. Thanks for any advice on where I'm giving this option ... I'm thinking on RSVP cards but how do I write it/what do I write?

Is it buffet or do they need to pick an entree? If they need to choose, you put it on the RSVP card. This is what mine looked like:

Yeah, if it's not a buffet and you need to have a count of everyone's entree prior to sit down, the way that Tara did it is perfect.

How about if a guest doesn't do meat??

On mine I just added Chicken or Fish and called it a day.

I had to do a fish entree because I have one guest who is allergic to chicken and one who doesn't eat meat at all.

I don't understand people that don't eat meat but eat fish. How are fish not meat? They're animals too...FWIW, I eat all meat.

My guest has his valid reasons, we understand him.

I eat meat too - Like almost every type of meat! Lol

@FMP @Beth People that eat fish (but no other meat) are called pescatarian. All vegetarians/vegans/pescatarians know the difference. That man is certainly not a vegetarian!
