Introducing your doc to vendors

FutureStephD, on October 10, 2018 at 5:35 PM Posted in Planning 0 4

For those of you that secured vendors on your own and then hired a DOC, did you introduce your DOC to your vendors ahead of time? If so, what did you say to them?

Thanks!

My day of coordinator is more a month of coordinator. She confirms with vendors the month & week prior, and makes a "day of" schedule for them. So I just sent her all the contact information for everyone with some information on what our contract said, etc. and she went from there! All our vendors want to meet with us a month out, so in that meeting I'll give them her contact information too.

I have a DOC + - as I’ve had follow up / final meetings over the last month or so My DoC comes alone and meets them. Other than that she has all the contact info so I’d trust her to make contact and explain if need be.

I guess I'm doing it wrong by making the introductions myself. Haha. Clearly I have control issues which is why I need a DOC I trust to handle the day of or I'll go crazy!

    Thanks ladies

Lol! I’m the same way. We have a full coordinator but, I introduced vendors to her via email and conference call. She also has a list that I compiled of all of their emails, numbers, websites, pocs, etc.
