Into It or Over It: Matching Getting Ready Outfits?

This one definitely falls into the category of too cute or too much!! Matching getting ready outfits can make for great pictures, but how many robes does one person really need?? Are you into it or over it? Photo by Flora + Fauna in Jacksonville, FL Next Question - Into It or Over It: Flower Crowns?...

I only meant that I'd prefer a monogram vs putting like "bridesmaid" or "maid of honor" because personally I'd feel silly wearing it after that occasion, but I know everyone has different tastes and styles

Over it, and never really understood this tradition anyways. Just get ready in whatever you want!

    Partially into it.

I don't like the standard robes, but we did pjs and the pictures were super cute.

I think the pictures look cute, but it seems like a lot of money for something that I’d expect would only be used once.

I do not like robes in general and will not be wearing one to get ready in. I have not looked much, but it does not seem like they make many plus size bridal robes, and even robes that are supposedly the right size do not look good on me. They accentuate all the wrong parts of my curvy body.

I love it. Asked all of my BMs if they would be into getting a robe and they would. As long as it doesn't have Bridesmaid or something plastered on it.

I might get my girls flannels since it’s a winter wedding but the nice cotton lace robes I like are crazy expensive. I don’t like the cheap silk ones and I think the floral patterns look weird in black and white photos.

I'm stuck on this. I see how it can be cute for pics, but I was a MOH in a wedding where we were given not so high quality robes that were nicely monogrammed but I literally haven't touched it since. Also, I am not small, so the robe "semi" fit. Kind of awkward. And one of the other BM's took my sash, I didn't make a huge deal of it though it was completely obvious (because she made a big deal of not knowing where her sash was and all of a sudden she had one and I didn't) and I had to tie mine with a string (HA). I felt uncomfortable.

BUT some part of me wants to have some kind of cute thing for my BMs to wear. It makes it exciting. I am torn. One girl I know had button down oversized white shirts for hers and it looked really cute but again...gotta be smaller to wear those. If anyone has ideas that aren't cheese to the max let me know.

I'm over the robes but I think cute pajama sets are nice as long as they aren't personalized with the title. Either leave them plain or monogram them so the girls will want to wear them again.

I was not into it until all my BM's asked to do something sort of uniform. We are still deciding my wedding is at the end of September so it may still be hot or may be cool, we will probably do leggings & tanks or button down shirts. I do think the trend is pretty, I just don't feel like robes.

I like it because it keeps us as a unit throughout the day. There will be so many people at our house that day - H&MU artists, family, friends, vendors, etc. This will show who's in the BP, keep us visually "together", etc. I know that's a corny reason, but it'll be nice to feel together during the getting ready process.

For my sister's wedding we all did flannels and leggings. It was super matchy matchy and still looked super cute. Plus who doesn't own a flannel already.

Im into it but I'm doing sweat pants with their last names instead of robes so they can keep using them afterwards

I'm over it. Just was never really the person to do matchy matchy.

Into it! if they are comfortable, reusable, and not expensive. We are thinking cute shorts (not pj because we are doing all of our getting ready at the church) and t-shirts that say bride and bride squad or something similar. These would be the same t-shirts we would wear for the bachelorette and hopefully comfortable enough they could be warn after at least as sleeping shirts.

I like it, I've been debating this as a bridal party gift! Except just plain or with their initials so that they can wear it in the future too if they want to!

I love the idea but for mine, I'm going to have matching oversized flannels. You can find a bunch of them that can be bought together on etsy.

I bought some robes in different shades of pink, that looked high quality. I think and hope they will use it again! Makes for a nice momento as it's personalized. But I can see how cheap looking ones in some funky print looks cheesy.
