Into It or Over It: Matching Getting Ready Outfits?

Lynnie, on March 6, 2018 at 1:31 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 80

This one definitely falls into the category of too cute or too much!! Matching getting ready outfits can make for great pictures, but how many robes does one person really need??

Are you into it or over it?

I think this is way too corny. Let's buy a bunch of robes to wear for three photos and then throw them to the side.

Over it! I never liked this trend, besides matching creeps me out .😂 Plus it's all staged for photos and that's so weird to me.

I think it makes for cute pictures, but it seems really staged to me.

I’m not sure if I’m doing robes or flannels but I’m into it. We want cute getting ready photos so why not

Over it. I don’t get this trend. I recently met a girl who’s been in so many wedding, she had at least six or seven cheap getting robes. Plus, they’re all for staged photos and it felt fake to me. My girls and I all wore our own pjs or activewear. Our photographer didn’t come too early for getting ready photos (I told him not to) and he was still got a bunch of awesome, natural candid and group pictures

Over it! Never got this trend at all. I don't even want to have pictures taking of all of us getting ready. My girls can get ready on their own then just meet up with me before the ceremony.

Into it! My sister still snaps me when she breaks out her robe. My cousins both didn't have robes before this because they hadn't been in weddings recently. They liked them.

I personally love having hundreds of robes because I "Bruce Almighty" my clothes off the second I walk in the front door. I feel more modest when I at least have robes to wear. I hate pants so it's a great gift/prop for me.

I think they can be cute (prefer PJs) but agree that the staged photos can look so fake.

Over it! It seems so fake and staged when I see these photos. Not only that but, I would NEVER want my picture taken in an (most likely) ill-fitting, flimsy robe.

I an on doing something to get ready in, but not robes. It will most likely be cold when I get married so I was thinking pajama pants. And have their monogram on it so it can be worn after!

I'm totally doing this. Simply because my BMs have been telling me how much they want their robes lol

I'm so over the robes. I have personally never worn one in my life. I like alternative ideas like sheer button down, flannels, chambray, etc.

Over it. At first I was all about it, but I'd rather my best friends get ready in what's comfortable for them. It's expensive, and the likelihood of them being worn again....it's a no from me.

It can be worn after without a monogram...lol. Some people (like me) are really indifferent to personalized things, so I'd ask your bridal party if that's actually what they want.

I got them (4) for free with my dress. I'd never have bought them. Remains to be seen if they get worn.

I like them. But instead of robes I would prefer matching outfits like t-shirts or tank tops and shorts or yoga pants.
