My wedding is over but I was wondering if anyone who married interracially had this issue... DH and I never notice it or point it out but I am Indian and he is white. We began to see we were "different" when we started looking at decor because we could not find an interracial cake topper! It was either two dark skinned individuals or two light skinned! We have cake toppers for same sex marriage now but not interracial marriages? I could have ordered one for $30-40 off Etsy but that is all I found... anyone else find one? We just didn't have one. I know we could have done an initial or something but I kind of wanted the bride and groom. Just curious!

(edit: same sex aren't as readily available as I thought)

(edit2: Thanks WW for showing me this isn't just an issue of samesex/interracial. All sorts of issues getting a cake topper to match couple!)

There isn't a huge difference in our skin tones, but enough to where FH didn't want a white guy. We went with this guy and added our photo. I did see several on Amazon that you could mix and match which I would imagine is the closest to the industry accommodating couples who are outside of the "norm" as we will probably see.

Promike...not necessarily surprised just wondering where people got them. Being its 2015, same sex marriage is allowed, civil rights was 40+ years ago... Clearly there are many diverse couples aside from blondes and brunettes. Various races, different hair colors. Long and short hair... Just think it's interesting many stores only have a blonde, brunettes and man/woman options. Seems like it would be nice to offer a few different girls and guys (blonde, brunette, red head) and a few different skin tones INDIVIDUALLY, so you can make your Own set. Obviously they can't offer every combo but there are more than just a blonde or brunette Caucasian man and women getting married. I understand DH and I are way from the norm but But same sex? Red head heads? Beards? Probably many more couples in those categories than an Indian woman and white man, yet still can't find them!
