Instead of bridesmaid robes....maybe shirts?

I originally thought of getting robes for my bridesmaids and after some thought I decided not to because they're not comfortable. I was thinking about tunics/ long boyfriend shirts with leggings underneath. Thoughts? My Moh thinks it's s good idea but I'm still not fully sure.

I am doing flannel shirts with each girl's initials/monogram for them.

I did fun loose tanks that would fit over their head easily and would be something they could wear again along with black yoga pants! I love that monogram flannel idea above though!

We did flannel shirts (not monogrammed but that would be really cute!)

I was just in my friends wedding this weekend and she got us XL men's flannel shirts with our initials monogrammed. We wore them with leggings and it was so comfortable that I will definitely be wearing it all the time. I highly recommend that option over a robe!

OG Matt, it's been pretty common in the weddings I have been in. Often the bride will want a "getting ready" photo or two and the final shots can be really cute if everyone is matching. I won't force my girls to wear it all morning, but I may ask for them to put it on for a couple of photos unless someone absolutely hates it. If doing this, I DO think it's nice when the bride buys something that is actually comfortable and good for taking off once hair and makeup are done. In the weddings I have been a part of, no one has viewed this as a bridezilla type of demand. Everyone is usually pretty game to don the robe (or whatever) and drink champagne.

I too was originally thinking about doing robes but didn't think they'd be ideal as we plan to get ready at a hotel (hair & make up) but put dresses on at the venue. I plan on doing Oxford shirts with leggings like in this pic

I like this idea. I was thinking about doing that too. I like the pijama idea since my ceremony is at noon they can wear pj's for mist of the morning while we do the getting ready pictures

WHATEVER YOU DO make sure it opens in the front so no one has to pull anything over their head and risk messing up hair or makeup

I ordered these shirts and I'm getting black leggings to go with them. I just got them and I LOVE them!

I think shirts are more practical! I have a bridesmaid robe from a wedding I was in and I have worn it maybe 2 times since the wedding last year.
