Instead of bridesmaid robes....maybe shirts?

Nadia, on November 21, 2016 at 10:09 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 35

I originally thought of getting robes for my bridesmaids and after some thought I decided not to because they're not comfortable. I was thinking about tunics/ long boyfriend shirts with leggings underneath. Thoughts? My Moh thinks it's s good idea but I'm still not fully sure.

Those are way cute! I don't have a bridal party, but I've been thinking about what I will wear to get ready and I just can't picture myself wearing a robe. I'd feel too...exposed. So I'll probably wear a cute tunic like this w leggings.

I didn't have any bm but my friend got us pajama from VS to get ready in. I wore it many times after.

This is cute too and I would much prefer it over robe.

I'm planning on using shirts. Not a robe person.

    It's a good idea.

Yay! And I love that they're not monogrammed or emblazoned with anything wedding- related.

Maybe a button-up so they don't have to take it off over their head? Are these loose enough where that isn't a problem?

I'm doing shirts. I hate robes and always feel naked in them. I originally was going to do monogrammed ones off Etsy but they were so expensive. I found a family friend who does monogramming so I decided to just go buy shirts. For awhile I thought about doing pajama sets with shorts and button down shirts but I couldn't find the color/sizes I wanted. I went to target the other day and they had men's slim fit button downs on clearance in my colors. I bought them for my girls and then bought matching ones online for the moms. I'm just going to ask everyone to pack leggings to wear under since they may be too short to not wear something under

That's an awesome idea! Something they can actually wear again and not worrying about being uncomfortable robe

I'm also doing pajamas! Robes are so common and not everybody likes them. I don't know if I would wear the boyfriend shirt again, but it'll make for cute pics and be comfortable!

Yeah I ordered a robe just to see how short it was; it was pretty short. I didn't feel comfortable at all.

We are doing pajamas. Robes and shirts just make me feel exposed and half naked and I wanted something that we could all wear again and everyone was pro pajama team.

I'm doing pjs or shirts. Robes are cute but only for the one day!

PJs are much better IMO. Nobody will wear a robe after but they'll for sure wear comfy PJs or a shirt when lounging around the house.

I'm doing pajama shirts! My girls & I have been in a few back to back (to back) weddings this year and we have so many robes! Robes aren't really my style anyway so I'm excited to give my BMs something that better represents me that I still think they will love.

I got these at JCrew (and a white one for me). Psst 40% off right now!

I have found that everything is just so dang expensive! So I'm simply going to ask all the girls if they can wear yoga pants and a plain black shirt (I know they all already have those) so it's matching but no money!
