Oye! Yeah that bouquet definitely isn't the same. Did you want more pinky roses and less peachy? And garden/juliet roses are super pricey in the inspo pick so I can understand if you CHOSE not to have those, or if she doesn't get them. But I couldn't see a florist saying they can't get those in. Your cake is stunning! I love the figurines! I will say the cake flowers look more peachy.

I am getting married on Saturday and so I hope my cake comes out just like their display but I can tell you that I did buy a first cake topper that came not great so I ended up getting another

The color of the flowers is ok, it's still in the peach/coral scale, I really wanted the greenery from the inspiration photo and the length too. The florist never made a comment about not being able to get the flowers or the greenery. She agreed on everything and then I received my very different bouquet.

Awhhh that's a shame! I would incorporate it in a review for sure just to mention to others "hey you really have to stay on her about doing it like you asked". Doesn't have to be completely negative! In any case, it looks like you had a beautiful wedding!

Yes the flowers are pretty far off, but the cake looks great. I had a similar problem with my cake. The first picture was the cake I got and the second one was what I wanted. 😢. Oh well they refunded me part of my money.

I'm using the same bouquet inspo pic! Looks like she gave you regular roses (Inspo pic is Juliet roses), and she gave you hydrangeas (inspo pic is wide opened peonies)! I would try and get some $ back. Your cake looks amazing!

View Quoted Comment Being honest, I didn't want to stress about it. She knew she messed up with the bouquet so she compensated with the rest of the decor. She even included a fake flower because the hydrangeas were "dying" and when I complained she claimed that fake flowers are more expensive than the real ones. I don't think that's true, especially in the DR, but I really didn't want that to ruin my day. When I saw the rest of the decor, I was fine.

I haven't been married yet , but this discussion struct a cord with me because I did just build a house. NOTHING turned out as we thought. It became a joke at the end. Hundreds of thousands of dollars and yet, it's still not "perfect". I am starting to lose all faith in pinterest because all of those photos are altered. I would think about a color decision for 4-6 weeks. I researched blogs, looked on pinterest, instagram, ect. I even had flooring samples laid out in my house for 3 months. We would finally decide and place a huge order and it would arrive looking way off than the color we were shown. It's crazy! I totally feel for you!!

Hahaha I mean, you can only laugh about it. I was talking to a friend of mine and I told her that we spend all this money on our weddings and then we can only hope that it goes slightly similar to what we wanted and that nobody dies. You can be as specific as you want and still not get what you have in mind, but who's going to let those details ruin that special and, let's not forget, "very expensive" day? NOT ME. I even wrote a post about it. In the end, things will go wrong and different but we cannot let that ruin our big day.

I love this discussion! You spend so much time and money planning the perfect day, and no matter what, there are always a few things that don’t go quite right. The centerpieces matched my vision pretty well, but my bouquet was kind of off, and the bridesmaids bouquets definitely didn’t match the photo I sent the florist. I didn’t use an inspiration photo for my cake/cupcakes, but they came out exactly like I imagined.

Yeah, I'm with you on the flowers. They don't look anything alike. But your cake looks delicious and I love the Funko pop toppers. So fun!

So far we've had good luck with our vendors. When I showed are baker the inspiration picture she asked, "That's it? We can totally do that!". With our florist, she saw my pictures and thought of a previous wedding. She showed me what she did and it was like she already in my mind! I can't wait to see how everything turns out.
