Inexpensive Catering in MD?

$30 per person, and if that includes linens, service charge, taxes, china then I think you may need to re think your budget. Down in Montgomery County area I don't know any caterers who can do that for that price.

There might be one. Try Mamma Lucias off of of Shady Grove Rd. I worked there years ago, and I know they would Cater to private events in the $20 per person range. However, that was a few years ago. I know China back then cost $5 PER PERSON though.

Tell them DJ Ricky with Bulles Deejays refered you. I worked about 5 weddings with them in the past, and I know they have a menu starting at like $19 per person. However, they might charge some sort of travel fee to go to Montgomery County.

If you want a more elegant caterer...check out Putting on The Ritz Catering (I am working a wedding with them tomorrow), however, I think you will need at least $45 per person to use them.

That is s tough budget. China and rentals alone could be 5-8 bucks, and you're talking about a whole year ahead, on a prime date.

If you're finding that no one is in your price range, then your price range may be unrealistic and it might be time to change your plans. Sorry.

I've found places have the price, so it's not unrealistic. It's difficult because there aren't many caterers near my venue in that price range.

Hey I'm no expert a newbie here myself but I live in Md too and I gotta say you might want to look into all inclusive venues that do the ceremony, food, cake, decor, and service all for one price per package... Lafontaine bleue is one may not be in your area but maybe you can find one that is. It definitely seems to be reducing the stress for me. There about $60 pp but like I said the do it all for you. Hope this helps

I was able to find a caterer for 35 dollars per person including all those things in California (Monterey area) I'm sure if you keep looking you can make it happen! ?

Look into Minute Events Catering. They're catering my wedding, and are very reasonably priced. We got the lunch deal because of the time of day which saved money. The food during the taste test was amazing, so I'm super excited. I'm not sure if they travel that far, but you can always ask!

You might want to look into a restaurant reception. We're doing ours at Maggiano's in Tyson's Corner, VA and its $25 pp family style (unlimited food). The one in DC was even cheaper.

Salerno's restaurant in Eldersburg caters and is good but not too expensive- not sure about the price and what comes with though!

In my earlier response I was assuming you were looking for an off site caterer. ...If you are willing to do a Restaurant wedding, then I could certainly suggest the Golden Bull in Gaithersburg, MD. It is right off of 355, and I actually think they could work with a budget of $30 pp. They have a banquet hall upstairs, and down stairs as well. Another option is the Dutches Daughter in Frederick, but their food is a bit more pricey, and they might not have options for under $30 pp.

Also, check out That's Amore on Shady Grove Rd. We have done many events there over the years, and the food is great! ...Might be a bit more than $30 pp though.
