Indoor Photo locations in CT

Private User, on July 6, 2015 at 10:42 PM Posted in Planning 0 6

Hi,

I am getting married in December and need an indoor location to take pictures in case the weather isn't cooperating. The wedding will be in Danbury, CT.

Thank you for any suggestions!

Too far away, but I went to the Kent School, 30 miles North. There were tons of beautiful indoor locations for photos - especially the Chapel. I'm not sure what the rules are either. It's an idea though. Look for a university or boarding school close by. You might want to take the pictures outside anyway, even if it's snowing. The backgrounds are stunning. Google the images.

I'm in the Danbury area! What venue are you using so I know what area you're using. Also what type of vibe are you going for. WestConn has pretty parts of campus, both midtown and westside campus. Ethan Allen hotel off exit 4. I could probably tell you a few more if I knew the venue. Good luck!

I'm originally from the area. Where are you having your reception?

In Danbury - The Matrix (however you would need to make a reservation here) - it was the old Union Carbide/Dow Chemical building. I second WestConn.

As for boarding schools that are closer by - there is Canterbury School in New Milford.

I just asked my FH (he is on his way back from work) and he told me that he is going to look up some places when he gets home - he has some in mind that he can recommend.

You could also ask Wooster School for permission. Beautiful chapel on campus

The Aldrich Museum in Ridgefield is amazing. Also the Lounsbury House in Ridgefield, but they always have events and weddings going on there so that may be tricky. The new Ridgefield Library and the new theater next door are both beautiful too.
