Including Fh’s daughters

Jennifer, on February 9, 2020 at 9:50 PM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 4
We are having a small beach ceremony. My daughter is standing up with me and my FH’s cousin is standing up with him. My FH has two daughters (in their 20’s). I want them to feel included and want to do something special for them. Does anyone have any suggestions v

Flower girls? My FH sister is going to be my flower girl even though she will be 19 on our wedding day.

Honestly, I'd ask the daughters if they want to be involved. I was in my 20s when my dad remarried after my mother passed away. His new wife wanted me to be in the wedding as a bridesmaid. I didn't have a choice. I was absolutely miserable. I did scenes from my favorite tv show in my head during the whole ceremony.

Yeah, I’m having my daughter stand up with me (we’re only having one person each) so I wanted to do something for them so they felt included. I’m already planning on giving them a gift, like a necklace.

Hey there, Jennifer! How about asking them to do a reading? You could find a beautiful poem they could recite at some point in the ceremony.
