In search of a Father Daughter song

My dad and I will either dance to "You Raise Me Up" by Josh Groban or "Through the Years" by Kenny Rogers. I do not know of any other Cinderella type songs but keep in mind your daddy daughter dance doesn't have to follow your wedding theme.

I told my father that I wanted to dance to "Daddy" by Beyonce and he told me that he wanted our song to be "You Are So Beautiful" by Joey Cocker. Awww...my DADDY IS THE BOMB!

My father and I are dancing to "you raise me up" but we're dancing to the version sung by Celtic Woman...Josh Groban's version is beautiful but I got tears in my eyes when I heard it by Celtic Woman!

You could use "A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes" from the Disney movie (or the Michael Bolton version). It's sweet and light to help him keep face, but its lyrics are very appropriate for what a father would say to his daughter.

I'm dancing with my dad to Cinderella by SCC, I really love "Daddy's Angel" by T Carter Music but that's what my best friend used as her father/daughter in November, also "Butterfly Kisses" is great too!!

What about "Ever After" by Carrie Underwood? It's not specifically for Father/Daughter, but could be used for it. It's a little faster but you could dance slow to it, and it fits in with the fairytale them. I also like the suggestion of A Dream Is A Wish Your Heart Makes.

Stealing Cinderella would be soo perfect for you! Why doesn't he think he'll be able to get through it? It's cute when it makes you cry, that's when you know the song means something. Don't tell him and just do it =]

I was just going to say "Stealing Cinderella" otherwise the song I'm dancing with my gpa to is "I loved her first" by heartland. There is also Tim McGraws "My little girl" which has a fairy tale type feel..since we all wanted that fairytale when we were little...? haha..I think Stealing Cinderella by Chuck Wicks is perfect for the theme.

What about "Daughter" by Loudon Wainwright? I know it's not in line with the Cinderella theme, but it doesn't seem so mushy as to make anyone lose it. I'm in the same boat as you with trying to find a song and that's the best I can find..
