... at the prices of some of these venues in NJ. Pleasantdale Chateau just quoted me for $500 per person for a Saturday evening in the fall. Ok.. I get it... high season and everything. But WHAT?! $500!? Needless to say that is not in my budget hahaha.

    Holy shit.

I am so glad I live in Buffalo, NY where we can have a wedding of aprox 250 people for less than $100 per person. Full open bar, plated dinner in a gorgeous just ballroom. Thank Jesus lol. If I was looking at those prices I would pay for my immediate family to fly to Mexico and get married there lol

I’m getting married in eastern PA by the Delaware Water Gap so literally over the bridge from NJ. We picked a mid level buffet option and open bar which comes to $130 per person after tax. Still blows my mind we’re spending so much on food but this is reality! We only looked at 2 venues that were potentially. Jesper But had no reasonable accommodations within 30 minutes and we couldn’t ask our guests to do that! We LOVED woodloch Resort which was significantly less for food but you had to use their accommodations and it was about $250 per night per room.
