I'm the big bridesmaid? (vent)

In June, I'll be in my MOH's wedding. She's only having me and her other friend as her MOHs. On Saturday, we went dress shopping and I met the other MOH. I'm normally very confident about my body. In June, I'll be in my MOH's wedding. She's only having me and her other friend as her MOHs. On Saturday, we went dress shopping and I met the other MOH. I'm normally very confident about my body. Even after trying wedding dresses, I exclaimed how I didn't want to lose a pound because I liked how I filled in the dress. But...

Now I'm paranoid about being the proverbial "big bridesmaid". Both the bride and the other MOH are 4'9" and 90lbs soaking wet. I look like a giant linebacker next to the two of them and it's really messing with my head. I know I don't look bad on my own, but I'm just picturing being next two girls who are so much smaller than me. Trying on dresses, I felt like nothing looked as good on me. I'm trying to find a way to regain my confidence, but it's hard.

Thanks O&S, Promike, and others. I know people can be sensitive about body image and perceived shaming. Whether Sara's interpretation of my post is accurate or not, it still hurt her to read. For that, I'm sorry.

Thanks everyone for the encouragement. My body image was something I honestly got past, but obviously not. I'll keep working on maintaining and improving it the best I can. I appreciate the support.

Edited after reading further comments: While I appreciate the support, I do encourage people to not body shame others in an effort to feel better, that helps no one.

@Mrs. CK - I'm sorry for my choice of words. It was not meant to be derogatory. They are just thin all over and I chose a poor word to express that.

I know how you feel. Anyone would feel big next to those two, but I don't think calling them "twigs" is very nice either. How would you feel if they referred to you as "the linebacker" to their friends?

I know exactly what you're talking about. My MOH is 4'10" and 100 lb and I'm 5'2" and 130. I didn't realize how different our sizes looked until we took a picture together last weekend and I was like "WHY DO I LOOK SO BIG"

@Mrs. CK thank you. I'm 5ft 8 and 120lbs. My weight is a constant struggle as well. I've been told I look like a "concentration camp survivor". I didn't appreciate the napkins on a stick or gross comments either. Way to body shame ladiesSmiley sad
